The 4Runner has been a part of the Toyota lineup for almost 40 years now, and nameplates don’t last that long unless they update with the times. The 4Runner is doing just that for 2022 in many different ways, with one major change being in the form of a TRD Sport trim.

You may be familiar with some of the other TRD offerings on the 4Runner, which add trail-ready features to the SUV. But the TRD Sport is different, because it is focused on style and on-road driving dynamics, adding things like Cross-Linked Relative Absorber System suspension, available part-time 4WD. 20-inch wheels with Dark Gray accents, and color-matching accents all around the exterior. Of course, we can’t forget about the TRD Sport’s hood scoop.
