Top Gear has named this car as one of the 20 Best Performance Cars Available Now.  They like both engines, saying that “neither is going to disappoint”.  In fact, they write that the Toyota GR Supra “still stands as a performance car that means business.”

Built on a Rear Wheel Drive platform, the 2025 GR Supra is made for speed. This lightweight racer will zoom through any challenge with its 382-horsepower engine. This inline six-cylinder turbo generates 368 lb-ft of torque, harnessing it at higher rpms for the maximum effect on acceleration and velocity.

You can choose the smooth automatic transmission or go for the fun of a refined manual transmission.  Either way, the sport calibrated electronic power steering makes you feel fully in command. An active rear sport differential adds to the car’s agile handling.

Developed with TOYOTA GAZOO racing engineers, iMT components have been redesigned for greater strength and refined delivery. In the process, they brought down the weight of the vehicle to make it as streamlined as possible. 

Traction controls have been calibrated to help the manual driver achieve the same smooth operation as the automatic. This system minimizes roll back and wheel slip.

Engineers paid close attention to the ergonomics of the shift lever.  Drivers will appreciate its weight and shape as well as the ample clearance between the lever and the control panel.

With the automatic transmission, the GR Supra 3.0 can handle the 0-60 mph sprint in just 3.9 seconds. This highly tuned system is standard on both trim levels.  It is designed to work with the vehicle stability controls and traction controls, providing safe travel that complements the car’s sport driving fun.

This powerful street car still earns a remarkable 31 mpg on the highway. In city driving, it earns 23 mpg and has start-stop tech to save even more. At redlights and in fast food drive-through, it can pause the engine until the driver lifts a foot from the brake.
