In many ways, the 2023 Toyota bZ4X offers reassurances that the Volkswagen ID.4 just can’t give. It starts with Toyota’s flawless reputation for low emission vehicles. VW doesn’t have any U.S. hybrids while Toyota has award-winning, industry-leading hybrids such as the Prius and Prius Prime Plug-in. Of course, Toyota also makes the Corolla Hybrid, Camry Hybrid, RAV4 Hybrid, RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid and more.
Secondly, the VW doesn’t have as much powertrain coverage. It stops at 48,000 miles or 48 month. Toyota continues coverage to 60,000 miles or 60 months. Toyota’s hybrid battery warranty can run for up to 150,000 miles or 120 months. With the VW ID.4, the warranty runs out at 100,000 miles or 96 months.
Lastly, the 2023 Toyota Bz4X comes with scheduled maintenance for up to 24 months or 25,000 miles. Volkswagen offers a 30,000-mile program that adds to the price of the vehicle.
