After numerous owners had come and gone, it burned in 2004. Memorabilia and buildings from the set are part of the Superstition Mountains Museum.
The city population has grown steadily in the last few years. In 2010, the population was 35,840. The 2020 Census showed 35,480 residents and more than 18,770 households.
