My name is Jon Mefford, and I’d like to tell you a little about myself. I was born in Lancaster, CA near Edwards Air Force Base. I grew up in Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley, doing the things that most California kids do. I raced Motorcycles & BMX, cruised Van Nuys Boulevard on Wednesday Nights, Surfed Malibu & Zuma, Ski’d Big Bear, Arrowhead & Mammoth, played Football & Basketball, I’m not a very gifted athlete but I tried hard! My family had a Weekend/Summer place in Porterville, CA at Lake Success where we Water Ski’d, Tubed, Dove from places we shouldn’t have and rode our Motorcycles behind the Dam, Fished and Hunted along the Spill Way and really just had a great time growing up!
I graduated Granada Hills High School with Honors and quickly moved to Santa Monica to be near the Beach, where I spent my young adulthood. I grew up in the Auto Parts business working for my father and with my brothers. Then moved on to Managing an Auto Parts Warehouse then becoming its Sales Manager. When that business sold, I moved on and held a Territory Sales Managers position for the LA area for a different Auto Parts distributor, then took a Promotion and Transfer with them to Arizona and the Four Corner States Territory. I loved growing up in CA, but really the only thing I miss is the Beach! The Mountains and Deserts are my play ground here.
I’ve lived in the East Valley since 1995 with my family, I have a beautiful Wife, two Daughters and a Son, we’re empty nesters now and have our first two grand children coming soon, and we look forward to spoiling them!
My last position in the parts business was with KYB Shock Absorbers, but the parts business has changed quite a bit, and after 9/11 travel grew weary so in 2006 I decided to change careers and start selling the whole thing instead of just the parts. I started my car sales career selling Honda for the first seven years and switched to selling Toyota’s in 2013, I only want to sell the Best!
I enjoy my job, and I take pride in doing it well, my only goal is to exceed my client’s expectations and match them to the vehicle of their dreams while making it a pleasurable experience! Thank you for listening, and I look forward to being of service to you soon.
