Toyota leadership has succeeded in bringing these green machines to the marketplace while other brands have fallen behind. Toyota hybrids are helping families, commuters and other budget-conscious consumers get true relief from gas prices.

Forbes Business Insider explains what’s happening with hybrids:

1. Nationwide hybrid sales rose by 65 percent last year.  Meanwhile, EV sales grew at only a 46 percent rate.
